I was able to spend almost a whole week at Melissa's this past week, while Curry was in Ghana for meetings. I had more fun than I ever thought possible! Here are some of the things that we did last week: We fed Burt, the goat.
Gave Grandma lots of hugs...
Fed the goat some more....
Ate chocolate pudding and made a mess....
Bought Jaman a new shirt that he wore to school the next day and he told everyone that he looked very handsome in his new shirt....
had many silly moments....
played with the dolls and stuffed animals
danced the night away....
Got dressed up and went to Holly Kearl's wedding reception...
and so much more. I loved being woke up in the morning by hearing Asher's little footstep running across the floor, or hearing her stand at the top of the basement stairs and call for "Gandma". Melissa and I visited every home decor shop in the area I think and found many fun decorating ideas. We went to lunch with Marilyn after visiting with Matt, Rob, David and Marilyn while they worked in the yard. I went to Mutual with Melissa and watched the kids put on fairy tale skits. I had the pleasure of giving Asher her bath several mornings and watching movies with her cuddled up in my lap. I had fun using my signing with Jaman and being able to help him with his homework a couple of nights. I also got to take him to and from his bus stop a couple of times. Melissa and I also painted Jaman's bathroom the first night I got there. I think it turned out well. Melissa has her hands full with very active kids, but she is doing a wonderful job. Thanks again Melissa, for letting grandma come and stay it was the best!
