Happy Monday! Yes this past week well past two weeks have been great! We are working with a lot of great people and actually teaching lessons! And teaching nonmembers. It's exciting! Click day is the day that you went in to the MTC they are big about it out here...I don't know it's interesting. So each month you have a "click" day, meaning your time is clicking away so you better be working harder and more diligently. So my click day is the 17th of every month. That is exciting to hear that the band did so well at the ward party. That stinks that there wasn't much of a turn out though! I'm sorry. How many people were there? Thank you for your compliments on my thoughts on the Atonement. I made a photocopy of all my writings that I sent him and I want to make one for you and mom as well. And have a copy for myself to read over while I'm out here and also just in case anything happens. The next topic I want to write on is the Plan of Salvation, we'll see how that goes. That's fun that you got to talk to Asher at the same time. I'm sure she was amazed and loved that. Did she tell you all about her dance performance? How did that go? That's sad and fun that she is growing up so fast and getting more and more of a personality. That is so crazy that Ben and Mason are both back already! It seems like Mason just left!! Is Lauren still planning on going down to Nauvoo while she's here? Thank you for your email this week, you have no idea how much I love your "rambling thoughts"! I love you daddy and hope you have a great week! Love, Leslie

Hi! How are you? I know what you mean about weeks going fast. I really can't decide about time out here, it is so fast yet so slow at the same time, it's the weirdest feeling! That's nice that things may be calming down. If you ever get to bored just know that you can always make fun things for your daughter! =) jk jk There is a skirt that I'd love for you to copy in my closet for my birthday. Just putting that out there. =) I'm glad to hear that Rachael's wedding went so well. I'm sure she looked beautiful, and that she is happy. I hope so. I can't wait to get a letter from her and hear all about it. I'm glad to hear people had fun at the ward party and that Dad did so well, no doubt there though. It is amazing the more you give your will and your life over to Heavenly Father how things seem to go more smoothly, how things that once were done by routine or dragging your feet seem easier and more enjoyable. I'm glad that your meetings are more enjoyable now, I know exactly what you mean. We had a great Sunday yesterday also. None of our investigators ended up coming to church, but it ended up being a blessing in desguise. Sacrament was all on the Temple and people seem to go a bit to deep on that topic and so we didn't have to worry about anything or explaining to much. It was very enjoyable for us however. Then Relief Society was all on the talks about parenting and ways you can talk to your kids about the Gospel. We have a lot of newer parents in our ward so they enjoyed that. I just sat back and thought about how lucky I am to have parents who did all the things they were talking about and truly what a differnence it makes. I am very grateful for all the efforts you both took to make sure that we had testimonies and we had a firm foundation in Christ. I love that thought about joy. That is perfect, it sounds like it is a really cute book. That will help a lot if we take that to heart, that is exactly how we should be living our lives. Well I will write a letter today talking more about my week, it has been a great one, working with a lot more people this week. It has been great! We'll see what happens we're praying a lot for them so we will see how it pans out and what the Lord's will is for them at this time. But I hope you have a great week! It was great to hear from you! Love you so much! Love, Leslie

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to write you on Monday it was a super busy day and just wasn't able to get everything done. You will be getting one today however. That's fun that you were able to go to Justin's for his birthday and that you were able to answer some of his questions. That is fun taht he comes to you. He trusts and looks up to you and mom a lot!! That really stinks that they are making you leave to New Orleans on Fathers day!! That's not fair. I hope it is a somewhat enjoyable trip for you though. That's fun you might be able to go back up to SLC for work and to see Melissa, the kids and Kelly. That will be fun. It sounds like they've both had some crazy weeks! That's exciting that you got to teach for Norm in High Priests. You always do a great job teaching. Are you excited for your band job this weekend? I'm sure it will be fun. You'll have to let me know how it goes. Thank you for the prayers they are always appreciated. It has been a busy week. We are seeing a lot of success with our less actives that we are working with which is great, but not as much with any of our potential investigators. So it is still a lot of finding going on, but I know that everything will happen in the Lord's time. Sister Wright and I are getting a long great. I can't believe this transfer is almost over. Only two more weeks and then I'll find out if I'm staying in Peoria for another transfer or not and officially what mission I will be in. But I hope all is going well for you and that you have a great week! Good luck with your band job! Love you! Love, Leslie
Hello Mom! I hope your week has been good. Lauren said that she was able to come help you with another wedding that you are working on. Sounds like you are staying busy! Any sight of things slowing down at all? Thank you for mailing the package, I haven't received it yet, but hopefully today. I agree it was so great to be able to hear all of your voices as well! It definitely helps! I'm glad you had fun over at Justin's house for his birthday. That's fun that Kyra was able to cook dinner, she is a great cook. Her and Nathan both. That is so exciting that Lindzie is fitting right in and participating so quickly. She is a great girl and I know this will be the best thing she will ever do for her and her family. Glad you enjoyed your movie. You'll have to keep a list of good one's I'll have to catch up on when I get home. WHAT??! Dad agreed to go with you to the see Eclipse?? Whoaa...I can't believe that I am impressed!! Did you buy New Moon yet? You'll have to let me know how it is when it comes out. Well I'm sorry again this is short but I will write you a letter today telling you a little more about things. They are going well and I know this week will be even better! I love you so much and hope you both have great weeks! Love, Leslie

Thank you, I hope you know I wish I could have done more, money and time just go by to quickly out here! That is great that you were able to talk to all of us and Asher! I'm sure she had lots to say! Sounds like they are busy up there. Melissa said that you guys were going up to help her move and to see Asher's performance, that will be fun! That's nice that Lauren was able to stay for dinner and that you were able to use your Mother's day gift right then and there! 5 minutes, that's great! Those are handy! I remember my friend Jamie had one of those, he would always cook us steaks on them! I'm sure dad was excited about Lauren's cream puffs too. Don't worry Justin's family will not get sick of you spending time with them. They love you both and our whole family. They always talk about how grateful they are for you and how much they appreciate all you do for Justin and for what wonderful parents you have been. It's exciting that Lauren and Justin both are starting new positions today. I hope all goes well for both of them! I'm sure they will both do great, it will be a great new step for both of them. Are you staying busy with jobs still? Are you getting sick, you sounded a little like you were coming down with something yesterday. Thank you so much for all that you said in your email. You have no idea how much your and dad's and everyone really but especially the two of you how much the encouragement means to me. I am so lucky and so grateful to have such wonderful, strong, loving and caring parents! THank you for all you do. It was so wonderful to be able to talk to you yesterday! 7 more months and we can do it again! YAY! =) I love you so much and hope you have a great week! Can't wait to hear from you again soon! Love, Leslie
Hi! It was SO good to talk to you all yesterday! I loved every minute of it, I think saying goodbye was one of the hardest things. Thank you so much for talking to me! It was so good to hear your voices and to hear how you are all doing! It was definitely a good pick me up that I needed. I would LOVE a copy of the outline that you used for Lauren's youth conference, I think that would be so neat to have. And I remember looking through those flip charts when I was little. I remember you talking about them and going through them with us. Those would be great to have as well! I'm glad to hear that the funeral went well. I was sad to hear, but she is in less pain now and in a better place. She was a wonderful lady, as is his grandmother. It means a lot that you and mom were able to go. His grandmother does think of you and mom as family and loves you both a lot. She always talks about how wonderful you both are and what amazing parents you have been! It's true too! That's fun that you will be able to go over for Justin's birthday he loves spending time with you two and loves the support that you give him. It really means a lot to him! He always talks about how if he has questions that he'll go to you and mom and how your opinions mean so much, he really looks up to you two! I love that!! So thank you so much for helping him and watching out for him! Well I think I told you about most of what has been going on yesterday, like I said doing a lot of finding, but the colleges are getting out soon around here so we will be able to get back in contact with a lot of the people we were teachign that have been really busy with school and finals so that's exciting! We have a lot of appts this week which is great, now hopefully they all just go through! =) Whatever happens it's for a reason. Thank you again for all you do and for your encouragement. It's harder out here than I thought it would be but with pray and your encouragement I know I can get through and make the most of my time out here! I love you so much and hope you have a great week! Can't wait to hear from you again! Love, Leslie

I was thinking about you a lot this week sad that you were home alone. I'm sure you were excited to see dad when he got home. That's crazy you only have 3 weeks left before Shelby's wedding. What all are you doing for it? Lindzie Kundle got baptized??? Oh my goodness, yes I do know her I was friends with her for a while. She is such a cute girl! If you see her please tell her I said hello and I am so excited for her. That is so exciting to hear I can't believe it. It is so great a testimony that the Gospel truly is for everyone! That is why we need to share it with everyone we come in contact with, because we don't know who is and who isn't ready for it. The Lord is the only judge of that. How did she start taking the lessons do you know? Were you able to go to the Baptism? Did Justin get to go? Finding Joy is a great topic for conference, that is exciting, you'll have to send some notes about it. I think that is something we can all work on! =) Justin didn't say anything in his email this week about his Great Grandma, but he did in his email the week prior, that is so sad. I feel bad for their family, but she will be in a better place and it might be for the best for the family. Sorry pday got changed to wednesday because of zone conference yesterday as I talked about in dad's email. IT was amazing! I can't wait to tell you more about it, not much time here. I will be calling at 4 my time which is 2 your time on Sunday is that okay?? I hope so =) I love you so much and I am so excited to get to talk to you and dad and Justin! It will be a great day! Happy Mother's day!! You present might be a little late...I'm sorry I hope it's not, but if it is I appologize! I hope the rest of your week goes well! Love, Leslie
Hi daddy! It was exciting to hear from you as always! It sounds like you had a great time in SLC. Fun that you were able to spend so much time with Melissa, Kelly, Luke and the kids. That's funny that Asher wanted you to bring her to work. Why does she call Alpine a Pineapple?? She is so silly! I miss her. Melissa said she was in Heaven while you were there and had a lot of fun with you. How did you like Melissa's house? She sent me a picture it looks and sounds like it's really nice. That is exciting that Jaman is doing so well with his school work and his eye is getting better. That is so great! Kelly sent me a picture of her with her baby belly it is so exciting. That's awesome you were able to get to see the Joseph Smith movie! It is such a powerful movie and definitely strengthens and reaffirms your testimony of him and the restoration! I got to have that same reaffirming testimony yesterday! We got to go to the Nauvoo Temple and Carthage, 70's hall, Pioneer cemetary, Joseph, Emma and Hyrmm's graves, Trail of Hope and a few other places yesterday. It was amazing! The Spirit was so strong and President Erickson is amazing, everything he said and everytime he bore his testimony it was like he was speaking directly to me, everything that I specifically needed to hear. It was our Zone conference so we had 3 zone's yesterday and the other two are going tomorrow. At the 70's hall President Erickson called on a few missionaries to bare their testimonies and I had the priviledge of doing that. What a neat experience to be able to stand and bare my testimony at what President Erickson kept refering to as the first MTC. It was such a sacred experience the whole day it was really great. It was really cool to be able to see all of the missionaries in the Celestial room together. They asked us not to talk but to go around and shake each other's hands and look each other in the eyes and see them as we would really in Heaven. So each time someone came in we were able to shake their hands and do that. It was such a powerful experience I can't even describe. And I was able to gain a lot of insight. I think that was the first time I fully felt comfortable and at home at the temple. It was really exciting and a relieving feeling. The whole day was wonderful though.
Your right about Vern it is sad, but that's what we told him also, family is important and don't want to do anything that would get in the way or break things up. It is sad how much that happens out here. Thank you for what you said about Megan, you helped me think of some new things that we can talk about with her! There probably are some humbling times that will need to take place and faith strengthening experiences as well. Thank you so much for sharing your testimony in your email. I always love to hear your testimonies and your experiences it helps me so much! I love you and I hope all continues to go well for you! I hope you have a great week! Love, Leslie
