a new week

As all missionaries do, Leslie had a rough week last week, but as you can tell by the following letter she is not letting it hold her down. She wants to be out there teaching and doing what she needs to be doing.
Mom,
The Baptism went really well. It was a great turn out of people from the ward. She also had a friend there who isn't a member who she said knows her better than anyone. He has seen a lot of changes in her. She said he really enjoyed the baptism and went to his sister's bapitsm of another faith a few weeks ago and felt a huge difference. He was asking her a lot of questions. She gave him a Book of Mormon. She said that he was asking all the same questions she was right before she started meeting with the missionaries! So that was really exciiting! She is so excited to start doing Missionary work. My allergies haven't really bothered me since I've been out luckily! I'm sorry you sound like you've had a really rough week also! How did you through out your back? I'm so sorry, but am glad that you are feeling better! Cafe Rio is a great bribe! Are your allergies feeling better also?  I'm sorry I"m running out of time today quickly, but I will be writing letters later this afternoon. I love you so much and thank you for the encouragement. The week has gottten a lot better. We've had some really good days the last few days! We went tracting for a good while on Friday and had a lot of fun. No hard commitments, but good beginning progress with a few people. Everyone we talked to was so nice and friendly as well. We are mainly working with recent converts and less actives right now. We had at least 8 RCLA's (recent converts or less actives) at church yesterday. It was great! At the beginning of the week we had a couple of appts with these twin girls that no one has been able to get in and see for a couple of months! And now we have set weekly appts with them. So that is huge! And there is another lady that we are trying to get in to see regularly who is also less active that is so excited about us coming back. There are a few of those so it's been great! The next few days are going to be pretty busy. This is Sister Baker's last week so it's a lot of saying goodbyes and lots of people wanting to feed us! lol. But it should be good. We have a lot of appts as well so it should be a great week! But I hope you also have a great week! I love you! Love, Leslie

Daddy I love you so much! Thank you so much for your email. You have no idea how much that helped! It really touched me and helped a lot. You and mom have both always been the greatest support and encouragers! Thank you for that. Thank you for all that you do and have done and continue to do. Thank you for the righteous examples that you set for me and that you always want the best for us and that you do everything possible to make that happen. I have been working hard on blocking those things out. I know that it will pass and that I will just have to work especially hard to show them that I am here for the right reasons and that I do have depth. I have prayed so much this week and know my prayers are being answered, because it has gotten better! Thank you for your prayers and all that you do! I love you both so much! Can't wait to hear from you again soon! Have a great week! Love, Leslie
