Since we have lived in this house, I have not had a real home for my sewing. I have moved from room to room as we have switched bedrooms between kids. I now have the downstairs bedroom all to myself and I even put my name on the wall so everyone will know it is my room!
Late last year my sewing machine (that was my graduation present 30 years ago this year), gave out again. I had it serviced and the man told me that I used it too much and too hard and that I might want to consider a new machine. I looked and looked for an industrial machine that I could afford and finally found one on ebay! So after painting my new room Mike and I assembled the new machine with instructions in Chineese, and it has the proud place of honor in my new room. I hung a full size mirror for fittings. I also purchased a blindstitch machine to do hems much faster than by hand. I really feel that I am in bussiness now. It is fun to have customers come and I can say, come this way to my sewing studio.
