We had a great day! We feasted on a great breakfast that Leslie made for us. We watched movies and then went to Lauren's for great company and great food. Mike and I watched fireworks from home, while Kelly went to the Texas Station to watch them live. (we could see fireworks from the upstairs window all over town)
Saturday we went to Tuachahn to see Les Miserables. We made a day of it and stopped at Tai Pan and Krummpet's and then to dinner at Cracker Barrel. Mike and Kelly played a LONG game of checkers in the general store after dinner. Neither one wanted to lose so they finally called it a tie so we could leave.
We arrived at the theater in time to hear part of the pre show. The man that played Javier is also a country singer and put on a pretty nice show. Most people were just sitting there but our family helped liven it up by singing along and clapping to the music, he mentioned that he was glad we came! So we had to buy his CD. He does have a good voice.
The play was fantastic and we all enjoyed. We had all seen it but Leslie, but she has played the music on the piano for years. She was happy to put it all together, and now understands the story. If you have not been to this theater you are missing out. It is a beautiful outdoor theater that is built right up against the red cliffs of the St. George area in a little town named Ivins. You can check out their website at: http://www.tuacahn.org/
we try to go every year as part of our Fourth of July celebration.
